How are you celebrating your mom this Mother’s Day?
With Mother’s Day on the horizon… (Sunday, May 13th)
it gets me to thinking about my own mom and all that she’s done for me over the years.
That’s my mom on the right.
(She’ll probably have a fit when she see’s this!)
She’s the one who has laughed with us (which is often with my family), listened to me when I needed advice, dried my tears when times were hard and supported me when I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. She’s also the one who not only took care of me as a child, but babysat my kids while I worked too. We’ve been through a lot of stuff together. A lot. She’s been one of the biggest supporters of me, my family and my business. So, how do you show appreciation to someone who does so much for you?
Flowers are great…
and probably something that she’d love to have. And maybe she will get some. 😉 But flowers are also something that don’t last. Candy is great, but when it’s not something that’s in her diet plan then it’s not a go to. I could get her something for her house, but considering they’re trying to get rid of extras that probably isn’t a good idea either. Maybe I’ll take her out to eat…. I know that she’d love that so she wouldn’t have to cook. Come to think of it, I’D like not having to cook too!
So, I could do all of or some of those things,
but I also want to do something Scentsy too. I know, I know… yeah, I sell the stuff, but remember when I said that my mom is a huge supporter of my business? She is and not just because I’m selling it, but because SHE likes it too! Just ask her about her stash of Cinnamon Bear waxbars. 😉 Seriously though, Mom just mentioned to me yesterday that she needs a new summery warmer in her front porch “garden”. So, I’m thinking… and this will be our little secret so don’t tell her… I’m really liking the “Home is Where My Mom Is” warmer that Scentsy just showcased. What do you think? A win?
